About Mimi

In 2006, Mimi Masher founded Silly Girl Skateboards and went on to start Pretty Extra (formerly Masher Couture) in 2013. She had been working as a mentor to girls through roller sports and art for several years with the goal of guiding them through the use of positive lifestyle, compassion, roller sports and COLOR!

It is through her creation of events, art shows, parades, classes and clinics for girls that she hopes to teach them it is “OK to be yourself!”

Mimi started skating and working with the Long Beach Roller Derby in 2011. She was especially excited to work with the Junior Roller Derby hopefuls and helped to create and cement many Junior Programs within the Long Beach Derby league.

Pretty Extra grew from roller derby with custom necklaces with derby names.  From there she began creating her own designs and then custom bakery accessories.

When not designing, mentoring or creating, Mimi can be found hosting parties, MC’ing or participating in community events… no matter what it is that Mimi Masher is up to, wherever she roams - you can count on things being a little brighter and a lot more colorful!
